Just something to do.
I figured I'd type this while waiting for today's video to render, no reason why not, right?
This page actually was a bit of effort. I set up some PHP code to actually list out a folder with some markdown files in it.
I then had to set up a markdown parser, I used one called FastVolt, seems to work pretty well.
Now I can type these out in a pretty friendly manner, instead of writing full HTML every time.
You get them served to you as HTML, as otherwise how could your browser read it? Works out!
Why make this site at all?
Why not? I remember a time when the web was more than the small handful of apps you doomscroll on.
I want to help bring that back, so I'm making my own site! I also want to inspire others to do so!
I don't like the World Wide Web being only a few giant websites, I miss the quirky personal projects.
I want to show that you can still make amazing things like this! I'm proud of my own little part of the Web!
I hope at least some of you get inspired by my efforts, and make your own site too!
Even just a static little page on GitHub Pages or InfinityFree would go a long way...
